Soi Buakhao

Soi Buakhao runs between Central Pattaya Road and South Pattaya Road, parallel to Second Road — and it’s where Pattaya’s regulars actually drink. Prices sit 30–40% below Walking Street, the beer bar complexes go on for blocks, and most of the city’s long-stayers base themselves within walking distance.

What to expect

This is beer-bar territory rather than gogo territory: open-fronted bars, pool tables, and a crowd that skews repeat-visitor and expat. The Tree Town market complex packs dozens of bars around food stalls, and LK Metro — the zone’s gogo pocket — branches right off the soi.

It’s also the practical heart of a trip: pharmacies, laundries, street food at all hours, and a heavy concentration of guest-friendly hotels at the city’s best nightly rates. If you’re staying weeks rather than days, this is the default neighborhood.
