Red House

Red House is the one to beat. A French guy runs it and he plainly knows his crowd, because the whole place is built around comfort and privacy instead of the cramped gloom you get in the older bars.

Five proper seating areas, each with a mattress, a table and curtains you just yank shut once things kick off. No stairs, no awkward dark corner shared with a stranger, your own little room without the room. The girls match the setup: genuinely fit, and they shoot pool topless between customers. A few used to dance the gogo bars on Walking Street and got too lazy to keep dancing. Not, as the regulars love to point out, too lazy to suck.

Short time is on the table too, and with girls like these plenty of guys end up taking one all the way rather than stopping at oral. The mood stays loose the whole time, which is the French owner doing his job.

You will not stumble across it. Red House hides in a residential pocket out in eastern Central Pattaya, sharing a quiet little road with 007, Pirates, Carre Blanc and The Factory. From Second Road it is a 25 to 30 minute walk or a 60 to 80 baht bike taxi.

The verdict

One bar, one budget, one choice? Make it this. Best girls, best layout, best run. Everywhere else in town gets measured against Red House.
