King's Club

King’s Club does not pretend to be a hangout. It is about ten minutes on foot from Excite, out on busy 3rd Road, with nothing around it but a few hotels and the traffic. You go because you meant to, not because you wandered past.

And it is bare bones. The girls all sit in a little room right behind the door, and the whole thing runs as a quick in-and-out rather than somewhere you sink into for the afternoon. The pool table and the restaurant seating barely get touched, because that is not what anyone walks in for. Pick a girl, get sorted, move on.

What it does have is price. Short time at 1,200 baht is about the cheapest on this whole list, and beer drops to 75 baht before 9pm, so an early visit is real value.

To get there, head from Second Road to Soi Buakhao, into Soi Excite, and walk to the very end. King’s Club is straight across the road on 3rd Road.

The verdict

Quick, cheap, functional, and best before 9pm. Come for the value and the easy 3rd Road location, not for the atmosphere, because there barely is one.
