Bar de la Poste

Bar de la Poste comes from the same people as the Telephone Bar, and sadly it is no better. Like its sister it looks promising from outside, bright yellow walls you cannot walk past without noticing, and it spends more on marketing than any BJ bar in Pattaya. You will see its adverts in German and French expat magazines, which tells you where the effort goes, and it is not the lineup.

The welcome is the high point. Push the door and all seven or eight girls swivel round, beam, and sing out together, “Sawatdee ka, good afternoon.” It is genuinely charming and it sets a nice tone. Then your eyes adjust, or rather they do not, because it is very dark in here. It takes a moment to make out the room.

Service and short time go the way they do all over Buakhao, short time landing between 1,300 and 1,500 baht. Handy enough if you are already working the area.

It is on Soi Lengkee off Soi Buakhao. Walk down from Soi Buakhao and the yellow walls turn up halfway along on the left.

The verdict

Loud marketing, lovely greeting, girls you cannot see and would forget if you could. A step below the good bars and best filed under curiosity.
