North Pattaya
North Pattaya is the stretch above Central Pattaya Road, running up toward the Dolphin Roundabout. It trades the density of the centre for a quieter, more hotel-heavy feel, which is why a lot of return visitors who want a calmer base stay up here.
What to expect
The nightlife is more spread out than in Central Pattaya. Second Road through this stretch carries a run of massage shops, including a couple of the city’s biggest soapy houses up near Soi 3, and the low-numbered Beach Road sois stay low-key. The famous daytime bar street, Soi 6, sits right on the southern edge of the area, an easy walk from most of it.
It is the part of town to pick if you want the action within reach but not on your doorstep.
