What a soapy massage is
A soapy massage (the Thai "ab op nuad") is a bathhouse format, not a street-side Thai massage. You pick a lady from a glass-fronted lounge known as the fishbowl, then head to a private room for a warm shower, a foam-and-air-mattress body slide and a full body-to-body massage. It is an adults-only experience and priced accordingly.
Where they sit and what they cost
Pattaya's parlors are spread out rather than clustered: a couple sit on Second Road up by Soi 3, one is on Soi Honey off Soi Buakhao, another on Soi 21, and the newest is down on South Pattaya Road. Pricing is tiered by the section you choose from in the fishbowl and is quoted at the desk before you go up, so always confirm the package and what it includes first. A small tip for the greeter is customary and optional.
